Why Exercise Before Exercise Matters

Did you know that being even slightly dehydrated can affect how well your muscles work and how you feel during exercise? Hydrating before you move helps your body regulate temperature, maintain energy, and reduce the risk of cramps or dizziness. Waiting until you're thirsty isn’t ideal — by then, your body is already playing catch-up.

A simple way to check if you're hydrated is by looking at the colour of your urine. Aim for a pale straw colour as a good indicator.
